Jennifer Christine Fichter, age 29, mugshotPolk County, Lakeland, FL – A teacher accused of having sex with a 17 year old student in Polk County, is now facing the same accusations in Hillsborough County.

Reports state Jennifer Christine Fichter, age 29, is being accused of having sex with a male student, where she teaches at Central Florida Aerospace Academy, while in her car.

The suspicion came about on January 27 when the 17 year olds mother went into his room at 5 a.m. and noticed her son was not home. After going through her son’s phone, she noticed text messages between him and two different women.

According to her son, those identities, Elizabeth Buchanan and Jessica Seamans, were to disguise the English teacher’s identity.

After contacting the police, the boy’s mother setup a call between Jennifer Fichter and herself. While on the phone, with police recording, Fichter admitted to having sex between 20 to 30 times from being in her pickup truck in parking lots throughout Polk and Hillsborough County and her apartment.

In the recordings, Jennifer Fichter also reveals she became pregnant while together, but had an abortion, and she really loves her son.

One of the last things the detectives wrote in their report was, “The defendant advised that she wants to have a relationship with the victim and does not regret any of her actions.”

While not yet fired, but suspended with pay, the superintendent is highly recommending she is fired by the school board.

Jennifer Christine Fichter was arrested on April 14, 2014 and charged with 6 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and 1 charge of sexual battery by a person greater than 24 with a victim age 16 or 17. She is currently being held in the Polk County Jail on a $70,000 bond.

Florida has a law that states: Chapter 794 Unlawful sexual activity with certain minors Which involves a person 24 years of age or older being engaged in sexual activity with persons 16 or 17 years of age.
